Provision of interim care services to children(boys and Girls) and women arriving at the Hajj transit camp. This includes age and sex specific services, registration, documentation, profiling to identify short and medium term needs, medical screening, recreation, psychosocial support through Child friendly Spaces (CFS) as well as referrals of separated and unaccompanied children for Family Tracing and Reunification (FTR) activities.
Facilitate enrollment of children in literacy and numeracy lessons through Temporal Learning Spaces (TLS) and facilitate placement of adolescent boys and girls (14+ years) and women profiled at the transit center into skills acquisition training such as tailoring, shoe making, catering, knitting, barbering and hairdressing/saloon, life skills education for adolescent boys and girls.
Comprehensive case management service will be provided for at-risk children such as unaccompanied and separated children (UASC), child and women survivors of Gender Based Violence (GBV) children formally associated with armed groups(CAAG), children at risk of mental health distress using the inter agency case management standard tools and the CPIMS+v2.0 database.
Provision of comprehensive MHPSS-MSP package through dissemination of key messages to promote mental health and psychosocial well-being, community-led MHPSS, early childhood development (ECD), for children, caregivers, education personnel through safe spaces. Delivery of UNICEF “I DEAL'' package modules for children and adolescents. This includes dealing with emotions, identity and assessment, peer relations, relations with adults, conflict and peace. The trained staff will provide specialised sessions to children using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) among other techniques. This also includes providing support to strengthen the capacity of relevant structures such as the Child Protection Committees (CPCs), Children's Clubs (CCs) and parent clubs to support service delivery through community-led MHPSS activities.
