Read MoreTranscultural Psychosocial Organization (TPO) Nigeria was established in 2019 as an offshoot of TPO DRC whose parent body was “Health net” Network in the Netherland in 1990 and transitioned to an Independent nationally registered Non-Governmental Organization(NNGO) in 2025 while maintaining its membership with the regional TPO network.
TPO Nigeria is dedicated to improving the mental health, psychosocial well-being, and resilience of conflict-affected populations in Nigeria. With strong operational presence in Borno State North-East Nigeria since 2019, TPO Nigeria provide services in Maiduguri Metropolitan Council (MMC), Bama, Biu, Gwoza (Pulka),Jere, Konduga and Monguno LGAs working in IDP Camps and Transit centers (Hajj Transit Center, Bulumkutu interim Care Center-BICC) and Technical Vocational Centers across in partnership with UNICEF, UNDP and Government Line Ministries.
TPO Nigeria uses the “Kaizen Business Approach”to reach thousands of beneficiaries, delivering livelihood support, SME development, MHPSS services, and structured reintegration assistance alongside community-based peacebuilding initiatives that strengthen trust between returnees and host communities.
TPO Nigeria’s localization strategy has further positioned it to deliver scalable, high-impact interventions that address the interconnected challenges of economic vulnerability, Mental health and social fragmentation, while promoting resilience and sustainable recovery in Northeast Nigeria.
