TPO in Partnership with UNICEF Promotes Menstrual Hygiene Awareness at Borno State Vocational Enterprises Institute, Muna

As part of ongoing efforts to improve the health, dignity, and well-being of adolescent girls and women, TPO, in partnership with UNICEF, conducted a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) session on Menstrual Hygiene Management at the Borno State Vocational Enterprises Institute, Muna. The session brought together 60 adolescent girls and women and was designed to strengthen their knowledge and understanding of proper menstrual hygiene practices. Through interactive discussions and knowledge-sharing activities, participants gained valuable information on menstrual health, personal hygiene, and the importance of adopting healthy practices during menstruation. The session also provided a safe and supportive space for participants to openly discuss menstrual health challenges, ask questions, and address common myths and misconceptions surrounding menstruation. Facilitators emphasized the importance of proper menstrual hygiene management in promoting health, confidence, dignity, and overall well-being. To further support hygiene promotion efforts, sanitary pads were distributed to all participants at the end of the session. The distribution aimed to improve access to essential menstrual hygiene materials and encourage girls and women to maintain healthy hygiene practices. Participants expressed their sincere appreciation to TPO and UNICEF for the informative session and the support provided. Many shared that the discussion enhanced their understanding of menstrual hygiene and empowered them with practical knowledge to better manage their menstrual health. Through this partnership, TPO and UNICEF continue to empower adolescent girls and women with the information, resources, and support needed to make informed decisions about their health and well-being, contributing to healthier and more resilient communities.\r\n\r\n Appreciation from Participants\r\n\"We sincerely appreciate for organizing this important session.
